Redusure™ IQP AK 101 is a highly purified extract of Amorphophallus konjac. Redusure™ is water-soluble and rich in dietary fibres that have the highest swelling and bulk forming capabilities and highest viscosity amongst natural fibres. In fact, Redusure™ can swell more than 45 times its original size.
For decades, scientists have researched the characteristics, efficacy and safety of the fibres found in the Amorphophallus konjac plant, from which Redusure™ is developed.
Redusure™ is the result of not only years of scientific validation but stringent quality and proprietary processes from farming right up to point of production.
Quality control for Redusure™ begins at the source. The raw material, from which Redusure™ is derived, is cultivated on dedicated plantations under controlled conditions in conformity with Good Agricultural Practice (GMP). These dedicated plantations ensure consistency in quality as well as continuous supply. The crop is also monitored so that the harvesting is timed for when the fibre content of the Amorphophallus konjac is at its optimum level.
Redusure™ is prepared using modern pharmaceutical technology and state-of-the-art equipment. Stringent extraction methods are also employed to ensure quality while the primary extract undergoes thorough processing to raise the concentration of active fibres and to remove undesirable substances. In fact, the equipment used is dedicated to manufacturing Redusure™ only, thus, minimising any risk of contamination. The purifying agents used, the techniques and number of purification and enrichment stages, and many other processing steps are determinants of the exact composition of Redusure™. Each batch of Redusure™ is tested against preset parameters for its purity and swelling capacity prior to release for final processing into capsules.
In the entire production of Redusure™, regular audits are also conducted and documented in conformance with international requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485.
